I am writing an essay for my eng/lit class as to why Francos is the best Mexican Restauraunt in San Angelo. My grandpa worked their and has his name on the menu.thanks for the grt food and service

I used to live in angelo... and Franco's was my FAVORITE place in the world to eat... now I live in Austin, and I'm so sad theres nothing like it here. I love LOVE love Francos! and will be bringing my Fiancee' there SOON.

Am in there at least once during my visits home to San Angelo...but, if I'm honest, it's more like three. :-D

Out of the seemingly endless number of Mexican restaurants in San Angelo, perhaps one stands out from the rest. I'm talking about Franco's Café. Franco's from the outside may not look like much, just your typical hole in the wall, but it offers perhaps the best Mexican food in town.

Franco's is a small restaurant located on the north side of town on Martin Luther King Blvd. When you drive up you will notice a small building surrounded by a lot of cars. When you walk in you will see a very cramped and hectic scene. Fortunately the food is so good it's worth it.

The chips and salsa are very good. The salsa has a good flavor and is spicy. You really can't go wrong with anything on the menu, whether it's enchiladas or fajitas. The prices are pretty good, most plates will range from $7 to $8. Prices have gone up a little, but they can charge what they want because there is always a wait at Franco's and it's not going to slow down.

My last trip I ordered one of my favorites, two beef fajita meat burritos with Franco sauce. I'm not completely sure what Franco sauce is, but it looks like chile con queso and tastes like it might be based on cream gravy. It's very interesting, and very tasty. You can get two of these large burritos for only about $5, which is a great price.

My dinner companion ordered a Mexican dinner. This is a dish you can order at any Mexican joint in town. It comes with a cheese enchilada, tamale, beef taco, beans, and rice. This is one of my favorite meals, and my friend loved it as well.

"Franco's is definitely my favorite Mexican restaurant. I have yet to order something I didn't like," she said.

The service at Franco's is very quick and friendly. It is amazing how fast they crank you out your order, but they have to be fast because it is such a small, yet busy, place. Franco's used to be a hidden treasure, but it seems everyone knows about it at this point.

If you are in the mood for some great Mexican food, Franco's is the place to be in San Angelo. The food is fantastic, and if you are in a hurry you can get in and out quick. Out of the huge number of Mexican restaurants in San Angelo, Franco's stands above the rest.

Aside from the great Mexican Food, Franco's has the best pancakes I've had anywhere. They were GREAT!
